CanovaApps Ltd is a mobile app studio based in Lagos, Nigeria, founded in 2026. We design and build a tightly curated catalog of consumer apps — and take on a limited number of client projects each year for teams who care about craft.
Why we exist
Most apps are built for engagement metrics. We build for outcomes — habits formed, children safer, parents calmer, learners curious. We believe the best mobile experiences are quiet, fast, and respectful of your attention.
What we believe
Software is at its best when it disappears into the moment it’s serving. We design for the specific moment a person opens an app — a 3am feeding, a missed bus, a goal almost forgotten — and we engineer for the conditions of the real world: imperfect networks, imperfect batteries, imperfect attention.
How we work
Small teams, end-to-end ownership, no hand-offs. The same people who design a screen write the code that ships it. We use modern cross-platform stacks (Capacitor, Ionic, and increasingly Swift/Kotlin where it counts) so we can move fast without compromising on native feel.
